HURRICANE HELENE UPDATES

10/18/24 UPDATE: We are open for business and are back to our regular business hours of 8am-9pm Mon-Sat and 8am-5pm Sun! The pool is also reopening today with the winter hours 9am-9pm. All units available for occupancy have power, water, cable, landline, and internet access back. We are keeping Cabin Road closed for now as the units on this road do not have access to all five of these things but will reopen shortly as we didn't want to rush repairs or restoration for the safety of staff and guests. The Willow Creek Golf Course will remain closed until 2025 and we heavily discourage any walking on the course due to bridges collapsing on the course as well as other possibly dangerous damage to the course.

Thank you to everyone's kind thoughts and words while we were closed and the everyone being understanding while we were making changes to accommodate as many people as possible while we were closed.  We are so excited to see everyone checking in today! Reminder that there is still a mandatory curfew in Boone, NC from 11pm-7am please stay off the roads as much as possible at this time to give space for construction crews and linemen to do their jobs and aid in the restoration of the High Country.

10/16/24 UPDATE: We are officially reopening this Friday October 18th for guests and will be back open to regular office hours 8am-9pm Mon-Sat and 8am-5pm Sun! Unfortunately at this time we have Cabin Road closed due to lack of water, phone, and internet to those units and will move affected guests into units of comparable size. We hope to reopen Cabin Road to guests as quickly as possible.

10/10/24 UPDATE: We have come to a solution for homeowners in weeks 39, 40, and 41 who confirmed their arrival with us prior to their week. We have found either the same unit or a comparable one (for example if you own a 1 bedroom chalet you will be put in a 1 bedroom chalet) for an assigned week before the end of 2024. The homeowners will be called and told their assigned week for this year only. Next year everyone should plan to come for their regular week as this is a temporary change of weeks. 

If you were planning on coming up and using your week but had not let staff know please call by 5pm on Friday October 11th, 2024 so we can reschedule your week for this year (2024). There is a limited supply of units we can put homeowners who did not confirm their arrival, so they will be treated as first come first serve.   Again this is only for timeshare homeowners in weeks 39,40, and or 41.

As far as resort updates we are on track for opening for week 42 (10/18/2024). As of today we do not have an official reopening date set in stone aside from the 18th. If we open any sooner and are able to accommodate guests with earlier reservations we will reach out to you. 

10/09/24 UPDATE: Unfortunately at this time we are unable to open for week 41 (10/11/24-10/17/24) guests and timeshare owners, though we do still plan to open in time for week 42 (10/18/24-10/24/24) guests and timeshare owners. At this time power is back to all of the units. We are still waiting on water to be restored to all of the units. Phone lines and internet are still down across the resort and likely will be after we open as we have been told the restoration of roads and power are the main priorities in restoration efforts. We do have phone and internet back at the office if you need to speak with someone. Thank you all again for understanding and we are working hard to get the resort ready for our guests later this month.

Hello and thank you to everyone keeping Willow Valley Resort and it's staff in your thoughts through this unprecedented time. At this time the resort is still closed to the public as water and power has not be restored to all of the Willow Valley properties. We have a decision made about reopening for week 41 on October 9th, 2024. Guests and homeowner's for week 41 will be contacted as well as being posted here. We are working as hard as we can to get the resort back and running for our guests. Minor damage has been suffered by units, largely water damage. Likely, when power and water are resorted to all of the units less than five will have to remain closed for repairs. The golf course it closing for the remainder of the season but will be back open next year.
